Yard Sharing
This is the time of year to think in a big hurry about where you will be growing food this summer. One resource for sharing a garden is Hyperlocavore. They are presently trying to update their website to make it more user-friendly, and in order to do this, they are raising money - and in a race against time!
Feeling generous? Look them up here.
I registered as a member of hyperlocavore several months ago to get advice on setting up a yard-sharing agreement in my neighborhood. This spring, Liz also set up a nationwide seed-sharing database!
These are efforts that make gardening more fun. It is really amazing that so many people all around the country are now gearing up to grow food.
Best of luck to hyperlocavore, and in any case, they will remain a great resource.
