Calling all locavore bloggers

I was just looking around on Valeree's Cincinnati Locavore blog, and I enjoy reading my fellow Front Range Lynnet's Loveland Local. I am just thinking I wish there was a place where these were all listed, as we are all looking for ways to put food by, to convince local businesses to label produce, grains and meat, and to find ways of eating local that improves our home and community life.

So if you are reading this, even if you don't have the exact url, please leave a short comment on a site you love to get info from - or email me at myrtoashe at yahoo.

Myrto, you asked on my blog about the conditions in my basement. It turns out it's not cold enough for apples but it fine for winter squash. My apples only lasted about three weeks, and then they went soft on me. Butternut squash are holding on at 7 or 8 weeks now. It's probably 65 year around down there. We're not at all an arid area -- our average humidity is probably 70%. If I had a dirt floor, I could probably develop a root cellar, but the house is newer and probably too well-insulated for it.
