Bright lights on the horizon

Here's some feel good news I came across this morning:
- on a global scale, there is hope after the conference in Bali. According to the Environmental Defense Fund, "after two weeks of tense negotiations, world leaders meeting in Bali, Indonesia, agreed early Saturday morning to a two year "road map" for drafting a new international agreement to limit global warming pollution". Read more!

- on a more practical note, I just found out about a resource that could make it easier for us all to carry out all those small niggly steps that improve energy efficiency in our homes. A site called Earth Aid Kit, facilitates shopping for programmable thermostats, fluorescent lighbulbs, faucet aerators and all those unrelated things you would have to wander around your local hardware store for a while to find. Have you bought your Earth Aid Kit yet?
